Your discomfort with digital teaching is not a personal weakness.

You were trained to teach in a system that valued:

• Subject knowledge
• Classroom presence
• Explanation and connection
• Years of experience

Digital tools arrived later.
Suddenly.
Without proper transition.

Teachers were expected to adapt quickly, often on their own—
while still handling full workloads, responsibilities, and expectations.

No one asked:

• How comfortable you felt
• Whether the pace suited you
• If the language made sense
• If you needed time to practice privately

Instead, many teachers were made to feel:

• “I should already know this”
• “Others seem to manage easily”
• “Maybe I am slow”

That belief is unfair—and untrue.

Learning digital teaching is not about intelligence or age.
It is about how learning is introduced.

When learning feels rushed, technical, or judgmental, anyone will hesitate.
When learning feels safe, gradual, and respectful, confidence returns naturally.

You don’t need to become someone else.
You don’t need to compete with younger teachers.
You don’t need to abandon your teaching style.

What you need is:

• A slower entry
• Clear explanations
• Permission to learn without embarrassment

Once that support is in place, something important happens:

The fear reduces.
The mind opens.
And learning becomes possible again.
